Music and performance
Scale the PA to the programme.
Playback, DJs and live acts place different demands on the system from speech alone. Audience area, required inputs, performer monitoring and venue sound restrictions all affect the scope.
One system may cover daytime speeches and evening entertainment when both phases are planned together. A live act's technical rider should be reviewed before that is assumed.
Technical operation
When an engineer makes sense.
An operator is useful when several microphones are active, speakers move between positions, content sources change, performers are involved or sound levels need active control throughout the event.
A simpler hire may only need installation and a handover. The quote should distinguish setup support from continuous event operation.

Audience size is only one input. Room dimensions, seating layout, acoustics, venue restrictions, speaker positions and microphone quantities also matter. ENTS AV uses that information to discuss an appropriately scaled system rather than offering an online engineering specification.

What type of microphone is best for presentations?
It depends on how the presenter moves, what they wear, the room acoustics and whether they need both hands free. Lectern, handheld, lapel and headset microphones suit different formats.
Can you provide multiple radio microphones?
Radio microphone requirements can be scoped for panels and multi-speaker programmes, subject to equipment availability and the number of people who need to speak at once.
Can you provide a sound engineer throughout the event?
Technical operation can be included where the programme needs active microphone, playback or performance control. Required operating hours should be included in the brief.
Can the same PA be used for speeches and evening entertainment?
Sometimes, but performance inputs, monitoring and sound levels must be scoped alongside the speech requirements. Share the DJ or act requirements before the system is confirmed.
Can you deliver and set everything up?
Delivery, installation and sound checks can be included when agreed in the quote. Venue access and collection arrangements need to be provided.
