Match the act to the event
Start with the audience, event format, venue and the role music should play. Background music during dinner, an after-dinner feature and a full dance-floor set require different acts and production. Availability, set length and changeover time should be confirmed before the running order is fixed.
Get the technical information early
Bands and performers normally provide a technical rider or stage requirements. This may cover microphones, inputs, monitors, stage area, power and setup time. Passing that information to the production team early avoids duplicated equipment and unrealistic changeovers.

Plan the change from speeches to entertainment
Many events use the same room for presentations, dinner and evening entertainment. The sound system, stage and lighting should be planned for those phases together. This may reduce room-turnaround work and makes clear which technician remains responsible as the programme changes.

ENTS AV can discuss DJs, live music and speciality entertainment alongside technical production. The historic site names individual performers, but no current public roster is reproduced until availability, representation and image permissions are confirmed.
